Seishin Shotokan Karate Club

Seishin Shotokan Karate Club is the name of our club.

The Japanese kanji down the side translates to Shotokan Karate, the martial art we train.

The blue brushstroke around the outside is called Enso. Enso, a Japanese word for circle can have many meanings. The one I feel deeply is that it symbolises a moment when the mind is free to let the spirit create through the physical body.

The symbol in the middle is the Japanese kanji for Seishin. Seishin meaning spirit. It exceeds more than just physical training. It’s important to cultivate a strong mind and a strong spirit. This was gifted to me by my Senseis as this is the symbol they use.
